The School recognises that the cost of living in London may be higher than in your home town or country. LSE provides generous financial support, in the form of bursaries and scholarships to UK, EU and overseas students, whilst Government support is available to UK and some EU students.

LSE Undergraduate Support Scheme:

The LSE Undergraduate Support Scheme (USS) is designed to help overseas students who do not have the necessary funds to meet all their costs of study. The amount of assistance will vary according to individual financial needs but awards are usually between £6,000 and £15,000.

LSE scholarships:

Each year LSE awards a number of scholarships, funded by private or corporate donation, to our students. The number, value, eligibility criteria and type of awards vary from year to year. Awards are made on the basis of financial need in the first instance, and then academic merit.

Below are the details of confirmed scholarships for 2018 entry and they can be used as a guide for 2019 entry. New scholarships will become available during the course of the admissions cycle. The Rajeeb Mukherjee Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility:

For this scholarship, there is a preference for an applicant from Canada, India or Bangladesh. It is available for any undergraduate programme at LSE.

2018 entry:

Once you’ve received an offer of admission (conditional or unconditional), you can apply for this scholarship. Please complete the application form. By completing this form, you will ensure that you receive consideration for this and any other LSE scholarship(s) which you meet the eligibility criteria for. The deadline for the receipt of applications is: 26 April 2019.

Pestalozzi International Village Trust Scholarship

LSE has established two full fees and living costs scholarships for international students sponsored by the Pestalozzi International Village studying for A levels at the Sussex Coast College Hastings (formerly Hastings College) and Claremont Senior School.

Eligibility:

These scholarships are for international students sponsored by the Pestalozzi International Village studying for A levels at the Sussex Coast College Hastings (formerly Hastings College) and Claremont Seniory School.

Those students who are accepted onto an undergraduate degree programme and who are successful with their Undergraduate Support Scheme application may be eligible for one of these awards.
