A Teacher of Tibetan Buddhism at the Institute of Liberal Arts in Taiwan

 

Dharma Drum (Fagushan 法鼓山) Institute of Liberal Arts in Taiwan is currently advertising for a Tibetan Buddhism specialist (including contemporary Tibetan Buddhism). International scholars are very welcome to apply, and the deadline is October 31st.

The DILA Department of Buddhist Studies is looking to recruit one special project teacher.

 

Start date:

  1. Those already in possession of a teaching certificate will be hired from February 1, 2023;
  2. Those who do not have a teaching certificate will be hired no later than August 1, 2023, due to the external review process.

Areas of expertise and application qualifications:

Applicants should

  1. Possess a PhD in Buddhist studies
  2. Have expertise in the literature and thought of Tibetan Buddhism, or contemporary Tibetan studies, and the ability to teach the language of Tibetan Buddhist scriptures.
  1. 3. Eligibility:
  1. Applicants should have the above-mentioned areas of expertise, possess a doctoral degree or above, or hold a teacher certificate at the level of assistant professor or above.
  2. Applicants with relevant research outputs and teaching experience are preferred.
  1. Materials to be submitted (please place them in order from top to bottom):
  1. Personal resume or autobiography (please download and fill in the resume of our school for teachers as required).
  2. Photocopies of certificates of study and other types of relevant experience.

3 Academic works (or catalogues).

  1. A teaching plan for proposed courses.
